HONITON MARKET CHARTER DAY 2025

We’re pleased to share the official programme for Honiton Market Charter Day 2025 on Saturday 19th July 2025.

Honiton Market Charter Day 2025 features performances by local groups and musicians, a free evening concert, attractions including a dog show and classic cars, and exhibitors from charities and community groups.

Here is the complete schedule to help you plan your day.


Allhallows Playing Field

Arena

  • 11.00-11.30am – Sunshine Samba
  • 11.30am- 12pm – Twirlstars Majorettes
  • 12.00-12.30pm – Honiton Gymnastics
  • 12.45-1.45pm – Red Stitches band
  • 1.45 – 2.30pm – Western Spirit Line Dance Club
  • 2.30 – 3.15pm – East Devon Dance Academy
  • 3.15pm – Twirlstars Majorettes

Dog Show

  • twelve classes to include puppy, golden oldie, best child handler, waggiest tail etc
  • entries taken on the day from 12.30pm
  • £1.50 per class

Around the field

  • Honiton Lions Classic Car Show
  • Gittisham Forge
  • Bouncy Castle
  • Skittles
  • Charity and craft stalls
  • Licensed bar
  • Food vendors
  • Ice cream van
  • Police Local Safer Neighbourhood Team

Food & Drink

Our confirmed food and drink vendors are

  • Cleave Farm Pork providing delicious barbecue options
  • Daisy Blue Delights, offering coffee and homemade treats;
  • Gordon Ice Cream for a sweet treat;
  • The Flavour Shack serving coffee, cakes, and paninis;

There will also be a licensed bar courtesy of BarBox.

Unfortunately, Spud Pod have had to cancel after their trailer was stolen and they have been unable to source a replacement in time for the event. We wish them better luck in future.

Competition Results

Shop Window Dressing, Colouring Competition and Dog Show winners will be announced during the day.

First Aid Post

The first aid post will be sited at main entrance to field.


St Paul’s Church Forecourt

  • 9.15 – 9.45am Church Bells will be rung
  • 10.00am Opening Ceremony
    • Opening cry – Town Crier
    • Welcome address – Town Mayor
    • Official opening by Nathan Hannay (Player/Coach of Honiton RFC)
  • 10.15 – 10.45am Sunshine Samba
  • 11.00 – 11.30am Rock Choir
  • 11.45 – 12.45pm Honiton Town Training Band
  • 12.45 – 1.15pm Rock Choir
  • 1.30 – 2.00pm Honiton Community Theatre
  • 2.15 – 2.45pm Handbell Ringers

In the event of rain, these events will be held inside the church.

Nathan Hannay has stepped in last minute to open Charter Day after Ben Slater was called away for an emergency at work. Ben is disappointed to miss the event and the chance to receive his Sportsperson of the Year award in front of his players.


New Street Corner

  • 10.45am Charlotte White (singer)
  • 11.45am Steve Waters (guitarist) with special guest vocalist Alex Oakes
  • 12.45pm Emily Miller (ukulele)
  • 1.45pm Back at Nick’s (full band)

In the event of rain, these events will be held in the Mackarness Hall.


Northcote Lane

There will be a variety of stalls from local charities, clubs and organisations along the lane leading to Allhallows playing field


Honiton Community College

  • 11.00am – 2.00pm Honiton Community Swap Shop

Millennium Green

  • 7.00pm Evening concert by Honiton Town Band – free event – why not bring a picnic?
